Web design pricing: straight-up packages from $1,500
Web design pricing shouldn't be a secret. Most web designers make you jump through hoops before they'll tell you what anything costs. Here's how it works with me. Every project is custom, so the investment varies, but the packages below give you a clear starting point. I'm always upfront about costs before we commit to anything, and there's no agency markup because there's no agency. Just me.
I'm based on the Sunshine Coast but work with businesses across Australia. Whether you're in Noosa or Newcastle, you get a custom website built with genuine care, delivered without the agency runaround.

How much does a website cost?
Starter websites start from $1,500, Refresh (a rebuild of an existing site) from $2,200, Signature (a custom, strategy-led build) from $4,500 and Commerce (online stores) from $6,500. Care plans start from $149 a month. "From" means the final price depends on pages, features and integrations. You get a fixed written quote before we start. [Prices in AUD, plus GST if applicable.]
Which package is right for me?
Starter: new businesses and sole traders who need to get online properly.
Refresh: you already have a site that looks dated or sits on the wrong platform.
Signature: your brand depends on how your website looks and works.
Commerce: you sell products online.

Why not use Wix, Squarespace or an AI website builder?
They're fine for a quick, low-stakes page. They won't give you a design built around your customers, strong search foundations or a site that someone competent looks after. You're paying for experienced design and judgement, not the mechanics of building a page.
How long does it take?
Starter sites typically take 1-2 weeks, Refresh 3-4 weeks, Signature 5-6 weeks, and Commerce 4-8 weeks, depending on the size of the shop. The biggest factor is how quickly content and feedback come back to me.
Will I lose my search ranking if I redesign?
Not if it's done properly. A Refresh keeps your existing content, sets up redirects and preserves the search settings that already work, so traffic isn't lost in the move.
Can I edit the website myself?
Yes. I build on WordPress so you can change text and images without a developer. I'll show you how, and you can hand bigger changes to me.
Do I need a Care plan?
It's optional but worth having. A website that isn't updated, backed up and monitored becomes slow and vulnerable to hacks. Care covers hosting, updates, backups and support so you don't have to think about it.
Who will I be working with?
One person from start to finish: me. There's no account manager and no handover, so you talk directly to the person designing and building your site.
Do you work outside the Sunshine Coast?

What if my project doesn't fit a package?
Tell me what you need and I'll quote it. Many projects start from a package and add things like integrations, extra pages or custom features. Copywriting isn't included in the packages, but I can quote it as an add-on.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Projects are structured with milestone payments rather than a single upfront fee. For most projects I work on a 50/50 basis: 50% deposit to kick off, and 50% on completion before the site goes live. For larger projects I can break this into additional milestones to spread payments across design approval, development and launch.
