Portfolio: Wedfest
Brief:
With summer fast approaching, Whitsundays Island-based tourism company Wedfest needed a tropically inspired, modern new logo and an amazing website to match. I set to work right away.
Wedfest offers custom packages for everything wedding related, whether it is for week-long bucks night sagas, cheeky hens night getaways or good old family wedding events. So a facelift was in order, but they wanted a logo that said more than just weddings; they wanted the logo to say tropical celebrations! But of course, the weddings aspect is also implied. So the logo, as you can see, has all the elements required: the palm tree F, the mixed typefaces, and then the S and the T making for a beautiful couple dancing by the sea. The torquese colour is reminiscent of the stunning water you see up there. Job done.
With the logo completed, it was time for the website. I designed it with vast space in mind. I wanted it to be open, vibrant, loud and exciting. It needed to show off some amazing Queensland scenery, from Cairns to the Gold Coast, and it also needed to make the aims of the website clear: sales, information and easy booking functionality. The good people from Wedfest loved the design and so I then built it all out in WordPress and good old Elementor.
